Last night, more than 100 supporters came out to kick-off Commissioner Materio’s campaign for re-election. Materio is seeking re-election to the West Palm Beach City Commission seat for District 5.

“Over the past few years, I have been honored to serve the people of West Palm Beach as the District 5 Commissioner and I am humbled by the love and support that can be felt in the room tonight,” said Commissioner Materio. “I’m excited about the opportunities for the neighborhoods and businesses throughout our community. I will continue to do my research, listen to the neighbors and encourage policies that will support healthy neighborhoods, growth in our small business corridors and sustainable infrastructure to move our city into the future.”

The campaign kick-off was hosted at the South End’s newest hot spot, EmKo. Located in West Palm Beach’s historic neighborhood of Flamingo Park. Once home to Ragtops Antique Motorcar Museum, EmKo is a multidisciplinary art gallery dedicated to the enrichment of the community through art. EmKo’s core mission is to create an environment that fosters and nurtures undiscovered artists.
